Quality and Materials Policy

OUR QUALITY GOAL:

PrettyElite Boutique having website www.pretty-elite.com strives to ensure that all our jewelry products, be it hand-made or procured are of good quality. Our goal is to delight our customers with affordable premium quality products. We believe in transparency and ensure that every product has a quality rating for the customer to consider before purchase.

Be it PrettyElite brand products or Third-Party products, we take care to choose superior quality materials to go into the making of our handmade products and we procure boutique products with a prominent level of quality as a requirement in mind.

We do not guarantee quality that will meet everyone’s expectations. We are not in the business of certifying or assuring the quality of any products or materials used in the products. Our sources, be manufacturers, wholesalers or other retailers or resellers, they do not certify or provide us with information to adequately measure or assure quality. While we are sharing this policy in complete transparency with our customers, we do strive to deliver a satisfactory level of quality to our customers.

In lieu of the above statements, every product has a quality rating to enable the customer to understand the product better prior to purchase. This rating is not scientific or based on real data but is determined based on a quick visual assessment. This rating is not an industry standard nor is it a guarantee of quality. This is informal information provided to the benefit of the customer and the customer can use it at their own discretion prior to availing a service or purchasing a product.

 

Materials

Our intent is to always use superior quality raw materials, findings, and components in our handmade products. We also procure jewelry products from various suppliers and manufacturers. We source from both local and international vendors. While these materials are sometimes marketed as superior quality products by the vendors, we have no influence or take part in their manufacturing and making processes. We neither have the resources nor the expertise to certify the authenticity and quality of such raw materials and/or finished products. We do not take any liability for the materials or products sourced.

 

925 Silver & Gemstone Jewelry Product Materials

Each product under our 925 silver and gemstone jewelry line is primarily made with .925 Silver also known as Sterling Silver. Unless otherwise specified, the jewelry components used are .925 Silver or Sterling Silver. There are some exceptions like the wire used for beaded jewelry. We take the utmost care to collaborate with reliable vendor sources and third-party providers to source the various components that go into the making of these handmade or hand-crafted items.

The same applies to the natural stones, gemstone beads and other accents used. While the vendors and suppliers sometime advertise ratings for these components, we do not have the tools to verify or authenticate this information before sharing this with our customer. We continue to strive to keep up with our goal to delight our customers with high quality products.

Please note that the names of the gemstones and natural stones used in our jewelry are solely based on the information provided by the vendor sources. We do not validate or verify the degree of accuracy of this information other than sharing what is provided to us. We cannot take any kind of liability for misrepresented or inaccurate information.

About gemstones used in our products; many of the natural stones and gemstones used are pre-processed in some way for use. They could be heat treated, color enhanced, dyed, polished, cut, or modified in some form or manner. We do not have any restrictions on the use of these pre-processed gemstones or beads, as this is a normal process in the industry.

Gemstones can vary in size, shape, and form. Due to these being from natural sources these could have blemishes, cracks, dents, and imperfections. This very nature is the essence of our jewelry in this line. We believe that this aspect of gemstones, natural stones or semi-precious stones add to the beauty of our jewelry items, make them stand out and depict character. This is not considered as a quality issue.

 

Fashion Jewelry Product Materials

The quality of our boutique products will vary based on where these as sourced
from. Each vendor has a distinct set of manufacturing processes and quality
goals to create their jewelry designs and products. While we offer a wide range of jewelry choices, there could be variation in the quality of these items.

Our fashion jewelry line has a very wide range of products that are manufactured with a combination of handmade and machine-made items and several types of materials. This also represents a collection of a variety of products that are sourced from many different suppliers. We have no control over the quality and composition of the products. The metals, stones and components used are at the discretion of the suppliers and their manufacturers. We do not have any stake or influence on how these products are made or what materials are used. We do not take any liability for the third-party products.

Also, note that the following aspects that are a key part of this policy which applies to all jewelry products that we make, buy or sell:

Small Parts and Components -

Our jewelry products contain small parts like beads and stones, can have rough edges, sharp links and wire loops. During the lifetime of a jewelry product, stones could become loose and fall off. Beads could break or disentangle. Small components like wires, rings, clasps could open and detach. While we do our best to keep these issues to a minimum and maintain a level of quality, there are products that can become defective post purchase. We are unable to assess or control this aspect of fashion jewelry. We do request you to check the product on delivery and use these minimally as these are only meant for occasional wear.

Improper handling or rough handling of the jewelry items could cause breakage of components. Once a product is purchased, the customer takes full responsibility and is liable for any use of the same. We are not liable for the use of the product once it reaches the customer. As a general guideline, we have provided care instructions on our website. Aligning to these guidelines will help our customers in keeping the jewelry products safe and beautiful.

Hypoallergenic Materials -

While our silver and gemstone jewelry products are hypoallergenic in general, we do not have the means to certify them as hypoallergenic.

Our fashion products are composed of various metals, alloys, glass, and other substances. We do not have the expertise to denote them as hypoallergenic or otherwise. In almost all cases, we do not know the materials used in the making of these products.

While jewelry products may be safe to use for many people, any allergic reactions are person dependent. We thereby request our customers to consider this aspect prior to any purchase. We cannot be held liable for any allergic or adverse reactions due to use of these products purchased from us.

Important Note - All customer purchases are hence subject to this policy and PrettyElite Boutique will not be held liable for any issues or concerns arising from the materials used in the products purchased or used. This policy is a part of our ‘Terms and Conditions’ aka ‘Terms of Service.’
